Welcome to our 10th Anniversary Season!


This All-Star Season will blow your mind! An outstanding group of musicians from all over the world will be performing an eclectic variety of a great music. This year we proudly announce:

"Parties with Stars"
for members only,
in private residences.

We have created a NEW membership opportunity for the 2007-2008 season.

The Saturday evening before the public concerts we will have private parties For Members Only.
These parties will include:
  • In the tradition of Russian Aristocrats-- Gourmet Vodka tasting
  • a full length music program
  • Buffet dinner and wine reception provided by Musical Bridges.
At the $250 and up level of membership you can enjoy all four concerts for 2 people as well as full subscription to the MBAW public concerts at McAllister Auditorium.

You will get a laminated "Membership CARD" which you can use to all our events. If you cannot attend a concert, the concert admission is transferable.

This unique membership opportunity is TAX deductible to the extent allowed by law.

As we look back at last season and forward to next, our 10th anniversary, I would like to personally thank everyone for making our 9th season a tremendous success!

We open our season on September 22, 2007. The concert series include:

Mark Cheikhet and Elena Portnaya with our guests from Moscow Boris Andrianov, Bronze medalist of the 1998 Tchaikovsky International Cello Competition, Russian Guitarist Alexander Tsiboulski, First Prize Winner of the inaugural Southwest Guitar Festival competition (held in San Antonio) and Harpist from Austin, Elaine Barber in a colorful program.

The concert will feature a fabulous group of string instruments; violin, guitar, cello, and piano with selections from Bach to Piazolla. This program will include Mendelssohn's piano trio, Johann Baptist Krumpholtz's Air et Variations, Faure's Impromptu for solo harp, and Piazzolla's Milonga del Angel.

Private Party with Emmanuel Borok. I am very excited to bring back to San Antonio an old friend of my family and the world reknowned concertmaster of the Dallas Symphony, Mr. Emmanuel Borok. I am honored to join him in a program of elegant Viennese music featuring all time favorites of Mozart, Schubert, Richard Strauss, and Kreisler.

This concert will feature of two of our favorites, Valery Grokhovski in a solo Chopin program and the world famous Russian Bass Nikita Storojev performing Italian Operatic Favorites. Nikita is returning from performances at La Scala and the Paris Opera.

The party will feature a fantastic cast of musicians. Alexey Koltakov piano, Jeff Garza French horn, and Michael Burgess tenor. Alexey Koltakov, the Gold Medal winner of the San Antonio International Piano Competition is coming back with a virtuosic piano solo program! Then he will be joined by Jeff Garza, the exciting young principal French hornist of the San Antonio Symphony and tenor Michael Burgess. Included in the program will be Brahms' trio for piano, violin and French horn.

In addition to these wonderful four concerts at the $250 level of membership you will be getting a complimentary subscription for two to our main stage "Fireworks", held at McAllister Auditorium--
