Musical Bridges has offered "Musical Evenings at San Fernando Cathedral" for ten years. Performances have always been free to the public and include a historical vignette and costumed musicians that harkens back to the 18th century founding of the Cathedral in 1731. Prior to each concert, the newly-renovated Main Plaza comes to life with actors in 18th century costumes, professional musicians singing the Madrigals, along with fencers and jugglers performing street entertainment. The concerts are designed to be appreciated and enjoyed by everyone, from the novice listener to the most sophisticated aficionado! Our guest artists are world famous musicians from overseas as well as from San Antonio and all over Texas.

We are especially proud that a growing number of San Antonio tourists are among the San Fernando performances audience.
